Water placement in creative

I have notice that recently in creative mode you can no longer place water blocks faster. It like having to place lava. When you are building a parkour map it's become inconvenient to place water having to go threw the same pain as place it at the same pace a lava as slowed down the development and building speed for the map pushing back the release date.
