downloading & join worlds with a resource pack

going into games and joining your friends world with a resource pack on and tapping on downloading and join world minecraft seems to have a problem with loading, its trying too load in while downloading at the same time, because of this it says "downloading packs 0.00MB out of 0.00MB" and won't connect, just joining works, but you'll get errors every time you open the   crafting menu as well the game doesn't seem too detect if you already have the same pack to join into the world installed already.
