Unable to eat food or open doors when using keyboard and mouse controls

when i plug my mouse and keyboard into my phone to play i cant use doors or eat at all. i can use the doors if i click and hold but not if i just click once and i cant eat food at all either. i can place berries and stuff and break blocks or attack but not eat
