Can't type in chat.

I'm unable to type in the world creation (to change the world name, from "My World" to something else) and ingame chat (with T). I can see the insertion point (blinking line next to text).
My keyboard works in regular Minecraft and outside of Minecraft.
I am able to move ingame and it responds to the keys (opening inventory, crouching etc).
I am using a Razer Blackwidow Chroma.
