Villagers and animals in village suddenly gone

While trying to load game approximately 22hours ago I repeatedly got a message on loading page regarding the Global server.  The game refused to load for over 30 minutes and after restarting my ps4 system multiple times.  After it finally started up my villagers and animals in my village were all gone.  Please advise.
