When take animal on a lead through the nether portal they go missing.

While transporting our pets through the nether we decided to put them in leads but when we went through the portal they were not on the other side, so I decided to experiment on other worlds and it has the same result. When you put a tameable animal on a lead and bring them through the nether portal they go missing
