game says beta even tho i have the full game

i had a friend game share minecraft to me almost a year ago and i was playing it fine until a couple months ago instead of playing the regular version it had shown the beta version so i didnt play anymore and i didnt think much of it so i just recently bought it for my own account and it still says beta even tho im logged into my account
