I have no achievements completed (all grayed out) and I do not get the notifications for them

I purchased the game through the Microsoft store 4/28/2021.  I have played for 95 hours total and my Gamerscore and achievement percentage is at 0%. I have completed some of the fun basic achievements but I don't have them in the completed list. All I see is the fox taking a nap. Any help is greatly appreciated
