Minecraft Forgetting That I Chose a Custom Skin

When I choose a custom skin and re-open the game, it forgets that I selected a custom skin and replaces it with a pre-made skin that's on the same skin slot. The game remembers the custom skin, it just forgets that I chose to play with the custom skin and replaces it with a pre-made skin.
