Furnace dont change state

I was cooking up some nether rack to get nether brick i logged out and logged back in and when waited for it to cook or smelt once it was done smelting the texture of the furnace was still lit and not the unlit texture so its like its cooking nothing, no resources are being used in the furnace it only looks like its smelting something
