Simply unable to get onto Minecraft in the past week!!?

Both my boys Amazon Fire tablets were recently updated and Minecraft was working fine. Suddenly in the past week, we try and log on, but immediately up pops a red screen with Mojang and then the screen goes black and returns to main menu. This is only on their Amazon fire tablets, so clearly an issue here. Thier Xbox version is fine.... Please help!!!!!!
