Suffocation in portal frame while traveling nether to overworld

Sometimes player (head) gets teleported into bottom corner of the portal frame and starts duffocating. Only way to get out is to break the portal frame with a diamond axe.

Happened with two different portals (Y coords in nether are lower than in overworld)
