When playing on Realms game will become unresponsive needs to be closed, some progress is lost

Since the 1.17.30 update, while playing our a Realms server, I will notice that I can't mine any blocks, pick anything up or generally interact with the world at all (open chests, open inventory, etc.).  I will 'save and quit' then when I try to reload back into the realm it will get stuck on the 'joining realm' loading screen for 5+ minutes then fail.  I typically have to wait at least 30 minutes before I'm able to get back in.  Once back in, some amount of my progress will be lost/unsaved (so I'm not sure if this issue relates to auto-save specifically on Realms).

All that being said, I tested by downloading a copy of my realm, and while playing it as a single-player copy, I was unable to recreate the issue, even after hours of having the game running and actively mining/building.  For context, the above issue on Realms seem to happen at least once every 1-2 hours.
