Pistons and target blocks do not redirect redstone dust correctly

Pistons and target blocks don't redirect redstone dust correctly when placed next to it

Steps to reproduce:
1. Place down a line of redstone dust leading into a block
2. Place a redstone lamp onto that block
3. Place a piston/target block next to the dust leading into the block like shown in the pictures
4. Activate the redstone dust line

Expected results:
-The lamp stays off and the target block/piston get powered

Observed results:
-The lamp activates even though the redstone dust shouldn't activate it because it is redirected
