Top texture of grass blocks flickers grey when moved by a piston

When a grass block is moved by a piston the top texture turn grey for split seconds. I have tried it with other blocks too, but from my testing it only happens with grass blocks.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Place a sticky piston facing a grass block
2. Repeatedly power and unpower the pistion using a lever
