Chunks not loading and being stuck in loading/saving screen

When trying to load chunks, whether it be nether, end, or overworld, the chunks refuse to load. On the same note, when in the loading screens for different dimensions, the game refuses to load. The game also, for whatever reason, refuses to save. The game is literally unplayable at the moment.
