My Entire Minecraft world is gone

I went in my Minecraft World today to check out the new update features and how they may have affected my super flat city world I joined my world and all I saw was void and a few tops of buildings everything I had worked on for around 3 years now was gone it was very upsetting to see this on my world. If you can do anything about this I would like this issue fixed thank you.
