Minecraft on kindle fire HD 10, 7th gen shutting down after mojang screen

On two tablets, both fire HD 10, 7th gen, the red mojang screen shows, then the screen goes blank for a few seconds, then the app closes and you're dumped back to the fire OS home screen.

 

On another fire HD 10 (9th gen), its all working OK, so I can only think its something to do with the 7th gen tablets.

 

I've cleared cache and data, uninstalled and rebooted, but nothing seems to help. Was working perfectly before the latest 1.17.30 update.

 

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Using 7th Gen kindle fire HD 10
2. Tap the minecraft icon
3. Watch Red mojang screen for a couple of seconds
4. Watch black screen for a few more seconds

Observed Results:

Black screen disappears, desktop shows.

Expected Results:

Minecraft loading screen, then play !
