Appear to be in water in world, float and unable to interact with mobs

Loading into a new world also produces the same effect, ender pearls freeze in place after throwing, player floats on air, mobs are not able to be interacted with, cannot eat food, cannot drop down scaffold or ladders, mobs (such as bees) freeze in place, hostile mobs don't spawn even on hard difficulty. Unable to send clip because it exceeds the limit. Game said 1.17.11 on bottom left when booted up. Unsure whether this is the current version of Xbox Minecraft
