Random players on online servers are invisible

I am currently facing a problem where random people are invisible, and those who aren't invisible seem to have a chance of turning invisible when they respawned. The only indicator that shows where they are in the particles on the ground they make and the hit particles. Neither the armor they are wearing nor their name tags show, not even the things they're holding are visible to me. Only other players can see them.
