Bug in recent download?

Hi, I'm relatively new to Minecraft and recently downloaded the free Emerald Tycoon.

However, I'm not even able to get past the beginning. I've tried clicking on the floating arrow numerous times but with no success. 

Being a newbie, am I missing something?

Great game BTW!
