jukebox doesnt play any music

when i put any type of music disc in a jukebox, it says now playing (whatever disc I used) and emits particles but there is no sound. (I had my volume up and I used different types of speakers (headset, device speaker) but there was never any sound. i did this multiple times and tried restarting Minecraft multiple times I even uninstalled it and lost all my worlds because I didn't know it would delete everything...
