cured villager not giving a discount

I had a villager with no profession that I had wanted to turn into a zombie and then cure in order to get discounts. I had already cured this villager once and i wanted the discounts to try and stack. Once I had cured my villager for the second time, it gave no discounts even though it had already given discounts from the first cure.
