Stair back unattachable for some items

You cant place on the back of stairs:
-ladder
-torch
-redstonetorch
-lever

Also wooden fence and cobblestone walls dont connect to the back of a stair too.

Maybe some other stuff cant go on the back 2. but i will find out,
