Everytime i try to run or jump, the game will lag and i cant stop running and jumping

but ill be just tryna get wood so i start RUNNING towards a tree and next thing u know I CANT STOP RUNNING. ill be tryna get away from mobs and be running and jumping at the same time and i let go of the keyboard and IM STILL RUNNING AND JUMPING
