Minecraft stopped working after 5 minutes since last update

While playing, the system stops responding but you can still walk and open doors, no sound, not able to open inventory or interract with objects

while this happens, you cannot correctly leave and save the world.

tried reinstalling the game, doesn't change anything, creating a new world, doesn't change anything
