Potions with weird physics

I was on PS3 edition earlier, and the potions had much different/better physics. They were thrown more like snowballs, and were better as weapons. Now, (on bedrock) they lose momentum 2 blocks away from you and fall like a brick. Any potions with negative effects will hit you. I made a comparison of snowballs (snow) and potions (red wool.) the oak wood is where I stood during the experiment.
