Character creator missing cosmetics and resetting emotes

I have a character that uses the fisherman hat and the furnace mask cosmetics in the headwear and face item slots, as well as 6 emotes. Occasionally, the two cosmetics are removed from my character, and the emotes reset back to the default three (simple clap, wave, over there!).
