Very excessive loading times in menus

The loading times of menus has significantly increased in the latest beta version, sometimes it even freezes the game completely, this should only happen on an old device or old operating system but not on the latest operating system and relatively up-to-date device.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open the game
2. Create or open an existing world
3. Open the pause menu
