Only one cat is able to give a player a gift in the morning. The game somehow decides, which one has that ability. This is different to Java, where all tamed cats in certain radius from the player have a chance to give gifts in the morning. Check: https://youtu.be/YGt5Lw7LxXI

Steps to reproduce: Trap tamed cats around you and your bed. Sleep. You will notice that only one cat will give gifts almost every morning.

I won't drop any pictures here, because it is hard to demonstrate it. The explanation was clear, and you should be able to reproduce it easily.
