Pillager outpost not spawning pillagers

In the experimental game play I found a village with a pillager outpost it spawned a few pillagers. Once I was ready to start a raid i went to the pillager out post to look for a captain but only 2 pillagers were there I killed them and no pillagers have spawned sense. I have waited for a while for more to spawn none have. (the iron golems could not have kill them because they all died.)
