GUI disappears when difficulty changes

when I change the difficulty of the world/realm I am in my hotbar and reticule disappear from the screen. This issue happens when both in a single player world and on a multiplayer realm. I am not the only one affected by this bug as my mother and brother have also seen this bug when they play bedrock edition on the Xbox One. The only "fix" that I know of is to log out of the world/realm and then log back in.
