Zombie hoglin did not despawn in peaceful

Came through the portal into the overworld on peaceful mode and a baby hoglin followed me through. After a few seconds, it changed to a zombie hoglin but it didn't despawn. It attacked my birds but did not fight back when I hit it. I killed it and it dropped rotten flesh.
