Can't craft Soulfire torches with charcoal

When attempting to craft a soulfire torch using charcoal, you simply can't, not through manual crafting, or quick crafting

Steps to reproduce:
Get a stick, charcoal, and soul sand or soul soil
Place them in the crafting grid as you ordinarily would
Observed Result:
No output appears, nor is the recipe valid in the crafting book
Expected Result:
You can craft soul fire torches with charcoal
