End Exit Portal kills me every time I go through it

I'm playing Windows 10 Bedrock. Everytime I go through the exit portal in the end to come back to the Overworld it says I died of fall damage and my death screen shows me at my bed in the Overworld. Sometimes it skips the death screen and it will say I died but I'll just be at my bed with less levels and no items. All of my friends experienced the same thing too.
