custom Character not loading in Split screen (saw a bug that said resolved)

Me and my brother share a playstation, We have a custom skin each. When we go a certain distance away from eachother then go near eachother we turn to default skins. Our simulation chunk distance is all the way up. I saw a bug saying resolved but it clearly isnt.
