Items floating in air and cannot pick them up

I was playing on my survival world i died and my items floated in the air and you couldnt pick them up and i have spent ove 50 hours on this world i had a protection 4 mending and unbreaking 3 netherite chest plate and 18 iron blocks and they despawned when they fell
