Alt Tabbing Issue

Whenever I try to alt+tab out of Microsoft Minecraft, It logs me out of the game. If this is a feature, I view it as a stupid one. What If I want to play other music, or listen to a podcast. Makes me feel like Minecraft was a waste of money, and makes me wish I had not purchased it.
