Signs previously dyed with glow ink now appear dull

My oak wood signs that had previously been dyed with white dye and glow squid ink in 1.17-1.17.2 now appear to have light grey text with no discernable glow effect. As a result the text went from clearly visible to almost unreadable unless up very close. The change has occurred since updating to version 1.17.10 and was not present beforehand.
