Snow not melting

Snow layers won't melt when it comes to light sources. I have tested some of the light sources that should melt snow layers and torches, glowstone, fire, sea lanterns, lanterns, and candles don't work. I tried on both the education edition and normal bedrock edition. The heat block does melt snow, but everything else wouldn't.
