Not being able to load and or Change skins on Nintendo switch Minecraft Bedrock Edition

For a few days now my friend hasnt been able to change his skin off the default setting, we have tried several things to try to change it but nothing has worked. But when I change my skin its works and its totally fine. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but its frustrating a bit
