Still can't play remotely ...

For a couple of months now, I've been unable to play Minecraft remotely. Never had any issues playing with friends before, and now I just see the "locating server" prompt until it times out or I cancel. I've seen other similar threads but the solutions offered up in those threads do not help me.

running v1.17.10, if that makes any difference.
