Villager trading inventory bug

I traded 8 books with a librarian to level up trades.i had my sword in selected and in the rightmost hotbar slot. I had 4 books left after the trade. I hit the x to close the trade window and the 4 books were in my hand in the place of my sword. The sword is gone.
