Latest update features do not appear or are unusable in the Mario mashup on switch

When using the super Mario mashup on the Nintendo switch, the caves and cliffs part 1 features are unusable. Loading an already created world that has the new features on it, with the pack selected, will make the pack fail to load, defaulting back to normal Minecraft textures and sound upon spawning.
