You are already using this proxy

Every time i try and join the server play.minealong.com it says "You are already using this proxy". I did research and its only a bug that's been reported in JAVA edition, not Bedrock Edition. 1) How would i fix it.  2) Is my personal information at risk of being hacked if something is wrong with my Proxy. 3) how does this happen.
