Not able to play multiplayer while connected to Wi-Fi on mobile

It just doesn't work I've tried 1 million times but I cannot connect to a multiplayer server while I'm mobile and on Wi-Fi and you cannot connect without Wi-Fi and I've tried on Wi-Fi it will not let me help
