Minecraft diamond bug

Minecraft diamond bug, i saw a thing that popped up on my xbox that said they were fixed! So I loaded up a whole new survival world and mines for 3 hours straight and didn't find a single diamond.. im wondering when its gpnna be fixed for xbox? my game is fully updated! And its a brand new world i dont know what might of happened.
