For some reason I cannot join one of my friend's worlds

I have played on my friend's world for a long time. One day I tried joining, but the loading screen was stuck on "Locating Server". It doesn't do that for any other world. This started happening near the release of 1.17.0, but the issue continues to happen. Please help me rejoin my friend!
