Villagers Stopped Working

In Creative Mode, I spawned in villagers in an adequate area for Villager Breeding, but the villagers would not recognise the Profession Blocks. These were new villagers that had just spawned in, and I had waited 5 minutes to make sure my device wasn't lagging.
