Neither the end portal frames nor the portal room generate in strongholds

I was speedrunning Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and when I arrived at the stronghold, there was no portal room whatsoever. Every hallway was a dead end, and it without doubt fit inside a 2 by 2 chunk area. I used an x-ray glitch to get a better look at the stronghold from below. The image is attached. I then went into creative mode and located another stronghold. This one was huge, but there was still no portal room to be seen. I do not have an image of this, as I became very angry and turned of my console almost immediately because I lost a 50 minute speedrun.
